Modifying rules

Modify a rule when you want to change the properties and trigger type, criteria, or actions for a rule.
To modify a rule:
  1. In the Customize workspace and select the Rules tab.
  2. In the Configuration subtab, select the rule to modify.
  3. To update rule properties, including the rule name or to modify create and modify triggers:
    1. Click Edit at the right of the workspace.
      The Edit Rule dialog opens.
    2. Make changes to the rule, then click OK.
      The Edit Rule dialog closes.
  4. To update rule criteria:
    1. In the Criteria tab, click the Edit button .
      The Edit Criteria dialog opens.
    2. Modify criteria for the rule, then click OK.
      The Edit Criteria dialog closes.
  5. To modify rule actions:
    1. In the Actions tab, select the action to edit, and click the Edit button .
      The Edit Action dialog opens.
    2. Make changes to the action, then click OK.
      The Edit Action dialog closes.
The rule is now modified.
