Updating the server information for version 6.1

[Optional] When you upgrade from a previous version of NexJ Contact, you must update the environment file or the server file for your deployment to reflect new structures and support new functionality.

To update the environment or server file for your deployment:

  1. In NexJ Studio, open the Deployment layer.
  2. In the Environments tab, double-click the name of the environment or server file for your deployment.
  3. To take advantage of a new feature which ensures that the latest application JARs are being used, include the application server location in the environment file.
    • When deploying on a JBoss application server, in the Deployment Location field (or the location attribute), specify the path to the location of server profile you want to configure. For example, \\localhost\%JBOSS_HOME%\server\default. The directory path should include the %JBOSS_HOME% variable.
    • When deploying on a WebSphere application server, in the installRoot property, specify the comma-separated list of the WebSphere installation roots on application server nodes.
  4. Save the updated environment or server file.

The server information for your deployment has been updated.
