Troubleshooting
The following is a list of possible questions that you
might have, and their solutions.
- How can I see the newly created contact in NexJ CRM?
- To see the new contact, search for them in Contacts workspace using their Outlook alias.
- I clicked Save to NexJ CRM and the email did not show up in the contact's journal. What happened?
- In this scenario, the contact may be missing an email address. Click the contact's Detail tab and make sure an email address exists in the Communications section. If it does, make sure it matches the email address specified in the email you are attempting to save.
- I want to restore the prompts for which I had selected "Don't show this message again." How do I do that?
- To reset the prompt messages for saving files to NexJ CRM or viewing contacts in Microsoft Outlook:
- Multiple contact records for a single client exist, which one does the email get saved to?
- When multiple contact records for a single client exist in NexJ CRM, the email is saved to all matching instances of that contact.
- I'm assigned a new task asking to update or merge the contact. How do I do that?
- To locate the contact:
- In your My Tasks list in NexJ CRM, click the contact's name in the For field. The contact's profile appears.
- In the contact's profile, click the Detail tab.
- Click the Edit button and change
their first name and last name as needed.Note: You will notice that the email address already exists in the Communications section.
- In the Contacts workspace with your new contact selected, click the Action button next to the contact's name in the search list and select Merge into. The Select Person dialog opens.
- Search for and select an existing contact to merge with.
- Click OK.
- I have single sign-on configured with the application server running NexJ CRM, but Windows Authentication tells me that I'm using an invalid name and/or password. What do I do?
- Try doing the following:
- Go to your computer's Control Panel.
- Go to User Accounts.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Click Manage Passwords.
- In the dialog that appears, remove all stored user names and passwords.
- Sign out of your account, then log back in.
- Try connecting to the application server again using Windows Authentication.
- I'm using French language settings, but some parts of the add-in are still in English. What do I do?
- If your computer's French language settings are properly configured, both the NexJ CRM groups and the NexJ CRM dialogs should appear in French.
