Hi,
Not sure if this is the correct section, please fell free to move if needed.
We’ve noticed an issue with the performance banner where the “Network” value is not added to the “Total” value. Can you please have a look to see if this is expected?
Screenshots attached.
Thanks.

Hi Andy,
No these numbers in your screen capture are not expected. The “Total” time is defined as the sum of Net, JS, and Server, and it’s not immediately obvious from the code how you would end up in a scenario where the Total is less than Net. In the current release it appears to be working, so I think this needs to be investigated further.
Please do submit a bug report through the project team.

James

Hi Andy,
James is correct in that this is not expected behaviour. We are aware of edge cases that are resulting in N/A values and the network time not being taken into account in the total time. These edge cases typically involve popups.
We have a bug logged in our system and it is on our backlog.

Dany

Hi Andy,
The specific bug scenario is when closing a popup/popups (nested or not), it doesn’t merge the JS stats correctly from the top closing popup to the surviving window; specifically the server time. The easiest way to see this to open add schedule item and then open another popup on top (picker or add related item) and then close that popup. The parent schedule item popup will have its total time replaced by the JS time and the server time will be missing. For the top level portlet, most of the time if you hit OK it triggers events to send/receive on closing the final popup so the performance banner receives a second update, but if you click back one on the performance banner you will see the bug. Also you can click Cancel on the last popup to get this situation.
You can see this in both your screenshots as well.
As Dany said, we’re aware of this bug and it’s on our backlog. Please report through the project team anyways so we can target our fixes.

Thanks James, Dany and Patrick. I’ll chat internally and raise it through NexJ Support if needed.
